The basic requirement for applying for admission at AIOU is, you should have a valid matriculation certificate or an HSSC/FSc equivalent certificate recognized by your region’s education board.
At least 60% marks are required to be able to get admitted into any one of their undergraduate programs. You will have to submit three self-attested photocopies and pay a fee of Rs/- through bank draft or postal order or e-challan generated from authorized branches of banks.
The History of AIOU
The Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad was established on October 26, 1986, under ‘The Allama Iqbal Open University Ordinance, 1986‘. AIOU was recognized by Ministry of Education as an autonomous university in 1991. Since then it has continued to perform its role with a lot of dedication and efficiency. It has been granted Deemed-to-be-University status which makes it the first Open and Distance Learning (ODL) institution to get that status from Government of Pakistan.
