Every once in a while, we get to see an outdoor space that makes us pine to escape the bustle of city life and go stay on the beach or in the mountains (at least mentally). This place, however, is not quite like that—but it’s just as delightful and inviting. Located in Los Angeles, California, this home was designed by Robert Ivany Architects and has one of the most unique layouts we’ve ever seen.
The architecture
This modern LA home is an indoor jungle sanctuary that will make you feel like you’re in another world. The home is full of plants and greenery, and the living space is open and airy. The light fixtures are unique and add to the overall ambiance of the space. The furniture is modern and comfortable, and the perfect place to relax after a long day. This home is truly a one-of-a-kind space that will make you feel like you’re in paradise. There’s nothing quite like it! If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this house could be your new favorite spot.
The colors
I absolutely love the colors in this home! They are so rich and vibrant, and they really make the space feel like an indoor jungle sanctuary. The green is so refreshing, and the pops of pink and purple are just beautiful. I also love the way that the light fixtures add a touch of glamour to the space. This is definitely a space that I would love to relax in! And it’s not just me- many people who have seen these photos have commented on how amazing it looks.
In fact, one person wrote: You could invite me over anytime. That comment totally made my day – it sounds like they’re as excited about this house as I am! It’s such a great mix of modern and cozy, and the best part is that you can do it all yourself if you want to (though I’m sure if you hired someone, they’d do it much better than me). If you’re looking for inspiration for your own dreamy space, check out these pictures. It might be what you need to get started!
The plants
Plants are often seen as low-maintenance, easy-to-care-for objects. But there’s more to these leafy green (and colorful) friends than meets the eye. Properly caring for plants can help boost your mood, improve your focus, and purify your air. Plus, they just look really cool. There’s no denying that something about a lush green jungle feels magical and calming.
So if you’re looking for an indoor retreat from the hustle of everyday life, you might want to consider investing in some greenery of your own! The following tips will help you grow happy, healthy plants at home
1. Know which type of plant best suits your needs – A succulent? An aloe vera plant? Knowing what kind of plant you want to purchase before heading out will save you time when picking out potentials, so take a moment and make sure you know what size/type/climate range is best suited for your living space.
- Consider buying new pots – If you have any existing plants but need fresh pots or soil, now would be the time to invest in those items too! You don’t have to purchase expensive pots or soil; chances are good that local hardware stores or even dollar stores have great options on hand.
The furniture
Sage green walls and earthy-toned furniture make this home feel like an indoor jungle sanctuary. The living room features a comfortable sofa and armchair, with a coffee table made from a tree stump. Plants climb the walls and dangle from the ceiling, filling the space with life. In the bedroom, there’s a four-poster bed with green curtains, and in the bathroom, there’s even a moss-covered sink! This home is truly a nature lover’s paradise.
With plants climbing on every surface and vines twisting their way through nearly every inch of the house, it feels as if you’re inside of a rainforest. The owners describe themselves as eclectic creatives, so it’s no surprise that they decided to design their home with inspiration from Mother Nature herself. With such lush surroundings and natural décor, this modern LA home offers serenity for all those who enter its doors.
Green in every room
As you step into the home, you’re greeted by a green wall in the entryway. The living room features a large, lush plants. The kitchen has a green backsplash and herb garden. Even the bathroom has a green plant in the shower. Every room in this house is filled with greenery, making it feel like an indoor jungle sanctuary.
It’s as if you can’t go more than five feet without seeing some form of green. There are small pots of succulents on every windowsill and large planters placed around the home that have larger trees or shrubs growing out of them.
