It doesn’t seem like there are any windows or skylights because of how dark it can get inside, but once you open the curtains, you can see they’re there! I’m really impressed by how much natural light comes into this room! When the sun is shining, it feels so warm and cozy.
And even when it’s not as sunny outside, there’s enough light from the giant window for me to read or do my makeup in here without turning on any other lights. On either side of the tub there are these awesome deep shelves where we store our towels and other bath products-I never want to leave! After a hard day at work, it’s so relaxing to soak in the tub while looking out at New York City and remembering everything I accomplished.
Sometimes I’ll go upstairs to hang out with my sister Cali before bed and then come back down here for one last soak before bedtime. We always end up talking about anything under the sun while sitting on the edge of the tub! Sometimes she tells me about what she did today, sometimes we make plans for the weekend, and sometimes she just reassures me that everything will be alright.
One time I was feeling really stressed out because I couldn’t find a job after college and she said You know you don’t have to find something right away, right? It totally made sense but until then I hadn’t realized it didn’t have to be such an urgent goal.
